The International Peace Garden and the 1894 Art Centre have partnered to bring a collaborative art experience to Southern Manitoba and Northern North Dakota. By gathering at the Peace Garden for a creative work day we hope to develop art pieces that we can then exchange with a country selected for us. The link below has information on past exchanges and the organization.

Our theme is “Ideas of a peaceful global community” and we hope to create two dimensional pieces of a somewhat standard size. Some examples might be collage, mixed media, print making, painting, written word, etc. We are hoping everyone can gather from both sides of the border on April 3, 2016 to create together and celebrate the peace between our countries through creative expression. The art pieces will be displayed at the Garden for an Open House on April 17 and then they will embark on their journey to our partner group and we will receive ours and display them throughout the summer.

The information for the date and other logistics is on the poster. Questions can be emailed to myself at as well as registrations. Lunch will be provided so we need numbers for that purpose and to assure we have suitable work space.
