Artist Bio:
Sarah Neville is a Winnipeg artist.  She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours from the University of Manitoba’s School of Art.  She is a painter, a textile artist and an illustrator.  Her artwork usually involves Manitoban themes, from our local animals to our vast variety of landscapes, prairies to coastal to forest to arctic.  She has had solo shows at the Gallery of Student Art at the University of Manitoba (GoSA), Tara Davis Studio Boutique and Cre8ery Gallery, along with group shows in many Winnipeg galleries, such as aceart, Cre8ery Gallery, Graffitti Gallery and the Winnipeg Art Gallery shop.  Neville is also a member of the artist collective Chris and Kine.  Chris and Kine completed their first project in January 2015, where they created the first ever art gallery on a frozen river, which was located on the Red River, at The Forks in Winnipeg. More recently, Neville collaborated with another artist by creating Post Gallery on the Red River Mutual Trail again in January 2016.  She is a children’s book illustrator and has illustrated Daisy’s Biggest Success (2013) and Fur is Only Fur Deep (2015).

Show Description:
As Manitoba is a reoccurring theme in Sarah Neville’s work, her most current work focuses on the animals, landscapes and activities that exist within our forests.   Our local forests have so much life within them, that Neville was inspired to create work in all of her mediums that showed the beauty within the tall forest trees.  Sarah Neville loves being outdoors, especially walking with her dog, and it is on these walks that inspires her work most of all.
